My Party

On Saturday, mama woke me up early to bathe me with flower water and prep me to pray ah tai.. After that, we went to ah ma house to pray kuan yim ma.. Ah ma also gave me a anklet and some clothes too! :) Mama and Papa were rushing to Civil Service Club to do the set up and we waited for guests to come...

Everyone were happy and eating and i also didnt have enough milk cause it was very hot and i was distracted. And i also never sleep long enough.. So i gave mama a bad time when we came home... lol..

Ytd, we went to chor chor house and went temple to pray also.. chor chor gave me 12 coloured threads and ang bao too... :)

Mama say...

At my 1 mth old i can...

- slightly lift head myself

- drinks for 30 - 40 mins each feed

- sleeps for 1.5hours - 2 hours (if no disturbance)

- can crawl to mama breast for milk when i lie on mama

- can sense papa arnd and wake up and look for him

- likes to stretch and make funny noises

I GOT HEAT RASH

and its all over my face... Mama everyday nag at my face but we can do nothing about it except to wait till it goes away.. :(

I also getting very naughty, i everyday wanna drink milk milk.. mama dont even have time to sleep.. althou mama dont complain but sometimes she will doze off beside me before i sleep.. i see her sleep, i also sleep with her.

These few nights, papa never sleep with us cause he snores very loudly and i keep waking up. so papa had to sleep outside... poor papa..

I stayed awake from 11am till 330pm and just fell asleep.. poor mama had to rush thru brushing her teeth, having lunch and washing laundry and had to make sure that i dun play until i turn everywhere since i am starting to turn left and right and trying to lift my head up...

after mama does everything, she will let me suckle for comfort, but i still dun wanna sleep today.. until my 330pm scheduled feed then i fell asleep at mama breast. finally mama can go and take a break, hang the clothes and keep clothes and clear my tub...

mama say, this week is my big day and sunday we had to go prayers and chor chor house.. i will try not to be too cranky due to the disrupted schedules...

2nd Visit to Dr Keoy

Mama and papa brought me to Dr Keoy today cause mama is worried about my jaundice.

PD say still got little bit and will normally take about 2 mths for total breastfeeding babies to recover totally.

Heat rash on my face: it will go off by itself and its a come and go thing, nothing to worry

Air in my stomach: PD ask mama to stop diary food totally cause i am reacting to the diary food and its normally the main cause for the wind inside my tummy.

My weight: im now 3.4kg compared to the last visit 2 weeks ago (2.745kg). PD say still a bit below target. By right at my age, i shud be arnd 4kg. Mama is determined to feed and feed and feed me. but PD say different child got diff time to pick up their weight, so its not really a big concern.

Sensitive nose: PD also say that i got blocking nose.. and ask mama if papa or mama have sensitive nose.. PAPA HAVE! i inherited this and papa got scolding from mama... haha..

Lying on tummy: PD suggested mama to put me on tummy time to get rid of the wind. althou i dont like it but it seems to help. so mama will allocate some time for tummy time every day :)

We went kiddy palace cause ah ma say full month must wear new clothes and i dont have. so mama went to buy just now and non slip mat for me for my tub bath. and also stock up the wipes.

Ytd, ah kim ah yi say full month jus cut a bit of hair at home, yi si yi si jiu hao, so today mama went to buy a pair of new scissors to cut my hair on my full mth.

This Sat is my party liao!!! but too bad, we didnt have the budget to invite a lot of pple. but still ok la, mama is too tired and hope all these will be over soon.

Mama is relieved that i am still not too bad. just need to pick up on my weight and no dairy food for mama. :)

I pee on my mom!!!

Ytd, mama bathe me.. and i peed on her! She still smile at me and say.. "nvm nvm... later mama clean" mama know i cannot control pee pee ma.. :)

Im going thru the 2nd growth spurt liao.. this is week 3 spurt, i drink more frequently and mama hardly have time to sleep liao. Sometimes i will whine and ask for bao bao.. mama will carry me and quickly put me back to cot, cause she scared i will fall in love with her hug! actually im in love with her hug liao.. wahahahha..

Papa had been very hardworking too.. besides working time, all the rest of his time is on helping mama and me... so poor thing.. not enough sleep because he kept snoring and mama keep asking him to sleep sideways so that he dun disturb me...

Mama is very heart pain cause the sunning for my jaundice has caused me to be super tanned.. like.. hei mei.. she hope i can be the fair me again soon... :(

i think we are all getting used to each other la. soon, i will grow up and grow out of all these.. we will soon get used to it de.. papa mama love me, i love them too.

My hobby is to disturb my mama!!

Each time mama wants to sleep, i will make noise.. then she will wake up and peep at me.. she returns to bed and i make noise again! wahahaha.. she will always scold me siao char bor!

im having longer waking time liao! i want to play! but mama cannot tahan late nights anymore.. im waking up every 2-2.5 hours every morning and afternoons.. and after midnight, i will be waking up every 3 hourly for milk milk.. mama had to clear the rubbish and make sure i fall asleep before she can hit the bed but when shes asleep, its time for me to drink again.. but mama will always give me a smile everytime she sees me!

now, i like to sleep on my back too! but i will always make noises to ask mama to turn me left or right after some time. and i hate that chou chou.. i always push it away but mama always put it back.. i also like to kick blanket like papa and mama!!!

i know i know.. papa and mama loves me! i love them too! i jus pooed on mama hands when she was cleaning me up! instead of scolding me, mama laughed and she say she wished that papa was here to laugh together...

oh ya, papa went back to work liao. i miss him...

HELLO!!!

Mama has been busy with my baby shower things and i am busy sending out invitations to all the uncle aunties too... My growth spurt is driving mama crazy too.. haha.. just as i got a routine set, a new routine comes in...

Now mama is just latching me one side per feed cause i will fall into deep sleep and its very hard to latch me on the other side. so im drinking for about 30 mins on that side... the other side is for the next feed and mama will pump out the unused side to keep the supply going. my capacity is huge!

Mama keep telling me that she want to give me to the bangali and let them feed me with roti prata... but that didnt scare me.. cause i know she wont bear to do that to me.. haha..

It's so hot that i dont like to swaddle liao.. not dun like la.. just feel hot and want to get out of it.. Everytime mama unswaddle me, my body is hot and red.. im having heat rash too.. so mama decide to unswaddle me on and off.. i am sleeping better that way!

Mama is also angry that i poo poo every time she changes my diapers.. Mama, i didnt do it on purpose la.. im on your TBF remember? Even thou mama wait for me to poo finish, i still got poo 10 mins after she changes.. and papa will laugh at her..

I start to feel more awake too..! Mama need some time to coax me to sleep, but when she show me her unused breast for latching, i will pretend to sleep.. hahaha!!

Mama sing song for me, talk to me and help me with my hiccups everyday.. Papa play with me, help mama and buy nice nice things for me.. Im so blessed!!

I dont like mommy right breast!

Mama right breast keep shooting at me.. i dun like... now mommy had to pump a bit before latching me on... papa and mama brought me to TMC to get some paper work done and went to taimaobi and rushed over to JP to get my fav swaddle.. i wet my swaddle again!!

Mama had been letting me try all sort of brands of diapers.. and so far, i am satisfied with Fitti and Drypers.. heard that mamypoko also not bad.. mama going to let me try after i used up the drypers.. Intially mama let me wear nepia one, but too big for me liao.. so have to try other brands of diapers..

its been really hard for me to sleep on some nights.. cause i keep making noises and my startle reflex is waking me up every now and then even thou i am swaddled. I am feeling hot and i dont like my hands wrapped.. so mama had no choice but to swaddle my body without my hands and blow fan on the wall to let me feel cool...

Mama face turn green after sleepless nights and she also fell asleep beside my cot bed too... she latch me lying down and we both fell asleep together.. but mama say its not a good thing cause she is worried that i might like her bed more than mine...

Both of us, together with papa are trying very hard to get used to each other.. We hope that soon, everything will settle down and we can start to do more family things together!

My Umblical Cord Dropped Liao!

Mama and papa are very worried about my cord cause the diapers keep touching it and its very difficult to bao diapers for me without touching the cord.. The PD got give us powder to put and it very effective! 3 days drop liao.. now mama still putting the powder to dry up the "wound".. :)

During my midnight feed, mama change diapers for me.. then suddenly it dropped.. mama thought she is the one who cause it.. then realised that its dried up :)

I very naughty these few days and mama's milk milk breast is not working well.. so much milk inside and will make my clothes wet and face wet too.. but now, its better already...

Right now, i am on 2 hourly feed in the 9am- 9pm and night time i will be on demand feeding cause mama is quite tired and she got not enough rest. and soon papa will return to work, so mama gotta get this routine right cause she dun wan to make papa tired from all the helping out in the nights.

1st PD Check Up

Mama and Papa brought me to Dr Koey for check up at novena medical centre today...
Dr say i still got jaundice but will be alright after 1 - 2 weeks..
Im now weighing at 2.745kg which is a 300g increment after i got discharged
Dr also gave me powder to apply on my cord and next check up with be for the 6 in 1 jab in 3 months' time. Mama is thinking if she should bring me to the polyclinic to do instead.

After that, we went to ica to do my birth cert and CDA and baby bonus.. Mama got her first test with me in public for breast feeding. And i managed to drink some milk after 2 tries with the nursing cover.. There were other baby friends with me also nursing with their mummies...

I was sound asleep all the way to Jurong Safra to get Papa Safra's card done so that we can make booking for my full month party. Hope we get it so that i can party all night long!

Now im home and still asleep..

Oh ya, i also sat on my new stroller and its very comfortable that i was sleeping all the way with it. Poor Papa had to manage my stroller when we are not using it, but thank god it is easy to open and close.

2 July 2010 Pictures : Where am i running to?!

6 days old...

Mommy is having a battle with me every midnight..

First i will poo, then mommy will wait a while then change me.. while waiting, she latches me too.. but i am a clean person.. i wont drink unless im cleaned up... so mommy changed me and i continue to latch..

After 10 mins, i have tummy ache again, then i poo again.. mommy did the same thing, she waited and changed me.. latched again but it wasnt sucessful even thou im clean.. cause i poo again! mommy got angry.. but after the 3rd change, i latched on one breast for 20 mins but the other for 10 mins...

Mommy say, at least must have one breast that is latched for at least 20 mins.. now mommy is massaging her breast cause its so engorged and im sound asleep waiting for my next feed!

Oh ya, today papa say he will bring me go gai gai.. then mommy tell me i will be seeing my PD and go ica to make my birth cert... now mommy is very stress cause this is her first time going out with me and her first time going to nurse me in public...

Mama & Papa say... Im their everything

I was out to see the world earlier than expected... Mama say, it was tough delivering me.. she had to go and operate to get me out and went thru 16 hours of pain before that... But mama say, when she saw me, she knew i was her everything

Papa was always with me and learning from mama how to take care of me.. Althou i am quite insecure when he carries but it seems like he is getting better and better each day.. :) Papa will make me wake up for my feeds and mama will make sure i drink enough milk.

We are one family and we love each other very much...

I am now on total breastfeeding and my mama is working hard day and night to make sure i have enough milk milk cause i got a mild jaundice.. I hope i get well soon!
